Project overview

Laser scan survey to capture conservation detail of out houses and bell tower at Castletown House, Co. Kildare. The aim of the project was to capture detailed internal and external laser scans in colour for the purposes of producing detailed conservation drawings of the features for record purposes. The project was surveyed and delivered in 4 weeks.


Project solution

  • Surveys carried out utilising a variety of methods and technologies including Trimble S6 robotic total station, Trimble R10 GNSS receivers and Faro focus 3D laser scanner.
  •  The survey data was used to produce section, elevation and plan data in AutoCAD format at suitable scales.
  • The survey method was non intrusive and meant the no areas needed to be closed off to the public during the course of the survey.

  • 1:20 Elevations in AutoCAD format.
  • 1:50 Plans in AutoCAD format.
  • 1:20 Section in AutoCAD format.
